gittgo connect – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your membership with gittgo connect, your use of our websites (including www.gittgo.co.ukwww.gittgoconnect.co.uk, and any other websites, platforms, or domains we operate), our concierge service, directory, guides, events, and any other services provided by Gittgo Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”).

By proceeding with your membership, you confirm you understand and accept these Terms.

 

1. Definitions

 

  • “Company” means Gittgo Limited (“gittgo”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 12847905) with its registered office at 26 Kings Hill Avenue, Kings Hill, ME19 4AE.

  • “Member” means any individual or business who has purchased a gittgo connect membership.

  • “Services” means the benefits available to members, which may include networking events, guides, concierge services, and directory listings.

  • “Concierge” means our service of passing on customer requests or introductions to members.

  • “Events” means any networking, educational, or promotional event organised by us.

  • “Intellectual Property” means all names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans belonging to us, which you must not use without our written consent.

 

2. Membership

 

If you are on our Free Directory or 'gittgo directory' only, there is no charge or obligations.

We take no commissions on any jobs and there are no hidden fees.

 

By joining the gittgo directory you agree that you accept the gittgo Standard of Excellence:
 

When you see the gittgo certified seal, it means this business has pledged to uphold our Standard of Excellence. Every certified business promises to:

You have the right skills, qualifications, or insurance to carry out your work safely and professionally.

Offer fair, transparent pricing
Clear quotes. No hidden fees. No surprises.

Provide reliable, professional service
Show up when agreed. Deliver what was promised.

Respect customers’ time & trust
Good communication. Courtesy and professionalism at all times.

Uphold the gittgo reputation
If issues arise, you resolve them fairly- keeping trust at the heart of every job.

For paid 'gittgo connect' members:

 

Monthly Membership is billed monthly. You may cancel anytime before your next billing date. No partial refunds are given for unused days in a billing cycle.

Annual Membership includes a 14-day cooling-off period. After this period, no cancellations or refunds are available, and no pro-rata refunds are given.

Memberships automatically renew unless cancelled. Memberships are personal, non-transferable, and may not be shared.

Fees, VAT & Billing. Unless stated otherwise, all prices are exclusive of VAT. You authorise us (and our payment providers) to take recurring payments until you cancel in line with these Terms. We may change fees on renewal with prior notice; changes take effect from your next billing cycle.

Payment Failures. If a payment fails, we may retry your payment method and/or suspend your access until payment is received. We may charge a reasonable administration fee for repeated failures where lawful.

Important: gittgo connect is a new membership and product. Any previous membership with gittgo, including “lifetime” memberships or other past arrangements, does not apply and does not transfer automatically into this membership.

 

3. Cooling-Off Period

 

In line with UK consumer law, you may cancel within 14 days of first joining and receive a full refund, provided you have not accessed digital content or attended an event.

If you access digital content (such as guides or resources) within the 14-day period, you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge you lose your right to cancel for that digital content.

 

4. Services and Availability

 

Membership benefits may include events, networking, guides, concierge services, and other resources. These are subject to change at any time, and we make no guarantee of frequency, availability, or continuity.

Only one flagship event ticket per year is included in your membership fee. Travel, accommodation, and expenses are not included.

We may update, suspend, or withdraw any service at our discretion without liability.

 

5. Concierge, Directory & Leads

 

We do not guarantee that you will receive leads, bookings, or introductions. Leads are passed on “as is”, we do not guarantee demand, quality, suitability, or payment by third parties.

We are not responsible for any disputes, non-payment, or loss arising from transactions between members or customers.

Certification & Disclaimer.

Where we describe a member as “gittgo certified” or “vetted,” this means we have carried out reasonable checks (for example, verification of identity, qualifications, insurance, or right-to-work where applicable). It does not guarantee the quality, suitability, or performance of that member’s services. You acknowledge that any engagement with members is at your own discretion and risk.

 

Reviews & Feedback.

We are not responsible for the accuracy or legality of third-party feedback. We may moderate or remove feedback we reasonably consider fake, unjust, unlawful, or defamatory. You indemnify us for claims arising from content you submit (including reviews you post).

 

6. Member Standards & Compliance

 

Members agree to:

  • act lawfully, fairly, and professionally when engaging with members or customers via gittgo;

  • not misrepresent services, overcharge, or fail to complete work they have been paid for;

  • hold any required licences, insurance, or qualifications relevant to their services;

  • provide proof of qualifications, certifications, insurance, or right-to-work documents if requested (failure to do so may result in suspension or termination);

  • maintain good communication, working practices, and attitude when engaged through gittgo concierge or the directory.

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any member who, in our reasonable opinion, fails to meet these standards.

 

7. Conduct & Community

 

Members must:

  • behave respectfully and professionally in all gittgo spaces (online and offline);

  • not spam, harass, or behave in a way that damages the reputation of gittgo or its members;

  • not copy, replicate, or compete directly with our business model, branding, guides, or intellectual property;

  • not spam, scrape, or harvest members’ information for unsolicited marketing or resale;

  • not publish defamatory reviews or harmful commentary about gittgo.

Membership may be terminated immediately for breaches of these rules.

 

8. Confidentiality & Data

 

Members’ details may be shared within the community and, where relevant, with customers requesting services.

Members must keep other members’ information confidential and not misuse it.

By joining, you consent to us contacting you via email, phone, WhatsApp, or other channels regarding your membership.

We may add you to community groups (such as WhatsApp) relevant to your membership. You can opt out at any time.

Concierge Enquiries. If you submit a request through gittgo concierge, we will use your details to process your enquiry, match you with relevant members, and contact you about your request. With your consent, we may also use your contact details to keep you updated about gittgo services, events, and offers. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe option in our emails.

Data will be processed in line with our Privacy Policy.

 

9. Intellectual Property & Publicity Rights

 

All gittgo materials, including guides, templates, branding, events, and our business model — remain our property. You may not copy, distribute, reproduce, or adapt our intellectual property without written permission.

By providing your logos, photos, or content, you grant us a royalty-free, worldwide licence to use them for publicity, advertising, PR, and marketing in any medium.

You warrant that you own or have the rights to any logos, photos, or content you provide, and our use will not infringe third-party rights. You indemnify us against losses arising from breach of this warranty.

We may film and photograph events. By attending a gittgo-organised event, you agree to appear in such content and waive any right to payment, approval, or royalties.

We may reference your membership, business name, or logo in promotional activity unless you notify us in writing.

 

10. Events – Admission, Conduct, Safety

 

We may refuse or revoke admission to any event where we reasonably believe a person poses a safety risk, breaches venue rules, or fails to meet community standards.

Members must comply with venue policies, health & safety guidance, and instructions from our team.

Members are responsible for their travel, accommodation, and personal property. We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage.

Event schedules, speakers, and formats may change at any time.

 

11. Termination

 

We may suspend or cancel your membership immediately if you:

  • breach these Terms;

  • fail to meet our Member Standards;

  • cause reputational damage to gittgo.

You may cancel in line with Section 2.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund except within the 14-day cooling-off period.

 

12. Liability

 

We provide services on a best-efforts basis and do not guarantee results. Success depends on your own participation and effort.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or business losses.

Our total liability to you is limited to the membership fees you have paid in the previous 12 months.

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, or liabilities arising from your conduct, services, or breach of these Terms.

 

13. Legal

 

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us and override any prior representations, adverts, or discussions.

Membership is only available to individuals aged 18+ with capacity to contract.

Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal) and are subject to their terms.

We are not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances outside our control (force majeure).

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.

These Terms are governed by English law.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time and will notify members of changes.
